I can’t express how grateful I am for the opportunity to live all of this. Every part of it — the ups and downs, the laughter and the tears. With every moment, with every breath, I feel myself growing. Mentally and physically.
When I started this journey five years ago, joining my very first salsa class, I fell in love immediately — with the rhythm, the community, and the dance itself. I quickly discovered that dancing, in its essence, is something incredibly pure. It can carry you to places you never imagined. It lets you find comfort in discomfort. It allows you to connect with yourself and discover your body. It nourishes your soul.
And it pushes you. It pushes you to go that extra mile, to try just ONE more time. It lets you fail — again and again. And through that, it brings you closer to your true self every single day.
As I write this, I feel proud. Proud of being consistent, perseverant, and for sticking with it. But more than anything, I feel grateful. Grateful for what dance has given me, and for all the people it brought into my life. People without whose support and presence I would never be living this magical process that I now get to call my reality.
