One of my dearest life long friends, @britt.vic took these at her birthday last January. She took film photos everyday this past year and just got them developed. She is a genius artist, a fellow cancer survivor, sheās in the process of releasing a memoir, AND is currently getting her PHD. Please go follow her substack and read her work. It is inspiring and life affirming and so much more. Grateful to be one of her many subjects in this project.

We are beginning our one short week of tech before starting performances, next week. The show is a compilation of masterworks that preserve dance history by bringing it to life in the present. Qudrophenia was a show that had such a powerful sense of shared purpose. The cast & team believe in what they are doing and itās life affirming to experience what theyāve created. The @nycitycenter premier was epic! Sets, costume design, story, music, projections, performances, direction, & choreography are staggeringly beautiful. Full of those moments where you remember that being a human and living with the ability to feel so much is an actual super power.
Two years ago, today, I received my brain cancer diagnosis. Itās impossible to describe how many times life has fallen apart and reformed since then. Iāve realized that letting it fall apart and learning from it, is better than trying to keep it together. Iām still here. Living and being creative, loving and holding my loved ones. I hope everyone whoās gone through anything like this finds a support system that helps them through. The mental health struggles are still rippling through my life and the lives of my loved ones. I wouldnāt have made it to this moment if it werenāt for my doctors, family, fellow survivors, care takers, an amazing community of friends, and LOTS of therapy.

Performed in @jkinneydance ās world premiere of āThe Pilotā at @dradance Fire Island Dance Festival, this past July. It was such a great time performing for a great cause, and doing so on one of the most beautiful dance stages in New York. Haha, Iām honestly pretty shocked and grateful that my body is still able to move like this.
