Gisteren opende onder massale belangstelling de nieuwe Kunsthalle BRUSK In BRUGGE de deuren. En dat met twee tentoonstellingen. De indrukwekkende solotentoonstelling van REFIK AMADAL (b. 1985, Istanbul) en ‘Breedbeeld. Brugge en de wereld anders bekeken.’ Het gebouw is een ontwerp vanROBBRECHT/DAEM architecten en OLIVIER SALENS. LAURE PROUVOST maakte in de inkomhal een grote permanente fresco. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR JAN. The child prodigy of contemporary art (in Belgium) who exhibited at MOMA and TATE MODERN at a very young age, celebrates his 50th birthday today. 20 years later he is still an outstanding and interesting/intruiging artist and this despite the meaning of a lot of people in the artworld. I am of the opinion that they are blind or do not apply artistic criteria. In 2027 he will have a major exhibition at the KUNSTHAUS in Zürich.
