⭐️AND the long awaited debut of our first potato chip & Champagne TASTING MENU⭐️ we be like the Epcot Center of crisps, equipped with the finest Épernay! and our ONLY May date will be this Thursday 5.15, from 5-8 in the Estadio Garden! 🥂 expect to have your mind blown 🤯

they’ve arrived!!! hailing from Norway, @sorlandschips are the only commercial potato chips currently being fried in 100% peanut oil in the world (or at least the only one we’ve been able to find!), and they are without a doubt one of the finest chips we have ever tasted!! the deeper we go down this road, the more conversations that begin, and our favorite one has become OIL.. while the insane array of far out potato chip flavorings of the 🌍 is certainly a fascinating topic that we celebrate, oil has stole our attention, as it is always the 2nd (and only other essential) ingredient in the crisp, and the plethora of types used is vast, interesting, and informative beyond just the realm of potato chips. in the days of old, 🥜 oil was considered king, and as so was quite ubiquitous, but drastically increased prices and rampant allergy concerns over the past few decades have basically made it obsolete. It has always been @maxkuller ‘s preferred oil for latkes and fries, so tracking down a source for Sørland’s was a must, once discovered! Thank you @norbites_ for getting them to us fresh and in great condition! They are truly spectacular; completely different from our olive oil gold standard, the delicate, yet crisp @bonillaalavista , it is a slightly more robust crisp, full of rich potato! we are also pumped to rip open some @zumitam chips this week! Hailing from Mexico, they are also getting involved in the oil conversation, producing several baggings of each olive, avocado, and most excitingly (because it will be the 1st we’ve tried!) COCONUT 🥥 oil! and oh yeah, welcome to our @instagram account! if you are new to Bar Estrella, once upon a time we were conceived by @estadiochs to be a next door sister bar. unfortunately that was in January 2020 and didn’t go quite as planned, BUT we relaunched last summer as a pop-up, featuring the finest Champagne (nothing is better with chips!), a whole lot of FUN, and a growing collection of potato chip offerings from around the world! nowadays, we are even presenting our chips as a world map & use vintage chip tins as Champagne buckets 🥳 Come be part of the next round @estadiochs THIS THURSDAY evening 5/8 5-8p 🥔 🥂
