Back in January 2016, we embarked on a journey with @frankandhonestcoffee that truly felt like kismet. 🌟🌿 Just three years into our own story, deep in the hustle of startup life, Frank and Honest became more than a client - they became a formative chapter in our working lives. This reel? A peek into our past: the first-ever brand book we crafted, the iconic takeaway cup that perhaps you’ve held once or twice, and those original cafe concepts that blossomed into real-life coffee corners. Plus, a look at how we’ve evolved together over the years, rolling out fresh designs and new ideas like the recent packaging evolution work with quirky illustrations by Nathan Albuquerque @zaperos , and taking our brand adventures as far as Prague with Bonveno. 🚀 Being at the core of Ireland’s favourite coffee brand, watching it grow and stepping into new territories has been rewarding beyond words. Having an over-protective emotional connection? Guilty as charged. We’ve poured heart, soul, and countless lattes into being part of the wider team that makes Frank and Honest not just the incredible brand it is today, but a story worth being part of. And we’re not stopping anytime soon! 🙏☕️✨

Guess who’s back? Yep, it’s us! After a little hiatus from our social channels last year (phew, we needed it! 🫨), we were still buzzing away behind the scenes imaginating up all sorts of design bits - from sleek corporate branding to drool-ish food packaging 📦✨ We’re feeling all fresh and fizzed up - kind of like we hope you will after sipping on the new @thehappypear Gut Soda! 🥤 Okay, okay, maybe we’re a bit biased (we are the ones who created the packaging after all). And working with the insanely talented Nora Toth @polkaboo_ on those gorgeous bespoke illustrations for each can was an absolute joy. 🎨✨ With photography by @lyndakennyphotography and food styling by @charlotteoco Now, Eire is about to get hit with some serious fizz as our super fun OOH campaign launches this week too! Oh, and don’t say we didn’t warn you - there’s a cheeky little giveaway coming from a secret location somewhere soon. Check out our latest #packagingdesign for the @Caramicopizza cook-at-home range. We've embraced a bright, modern, and casual colour palette that encapsulates the essence of a relaxed pizza night in. Adding a touch of uniqueness, we went for a hand-rendered typography style and teamed up with the talented @olliviamills_design for bespoke illustrations that bring the Caramico pizza passion to life. This design evolution is more than just aesthetics. It captures the fun and casual nature of enjoying pizzas at home, highlighting unique selling points such as the sourdough base, the hand-stretched process, and stone-baked perfection. Designed to be impactful on shelf, immediately offering consumers the important details such as cooking and serving instructions at a glance. It also puts a spotlight on the creative flavour combinations and unique preparation methods the Caramico team has developed to make this product exceptional. We’re proud to unveil our rebrand of @auntynelliessweetshop - taking the traditional charm we all know and love, and giving it a fun, modern twist! 💖🛍️ Inspired by the original Aunty Nellie’s enchanting Olde Worlde typography and the whimsical quirks of its charming typeforms, we selected a contemporary font that infuses a touch of that quirky personality in the letterforms and a delightful nod to the past. 🌟🔠 Wave goodbye to the trad brown, and hello to a classic navy - perfectly paired with an updated version of their original pink. ✈️ Fresh out of the box after an inspiring journey with the fantastic @frankandhonestcoffee team, having launched in the enchanting ✨ city of Prague, in partnership with fantastic @bonveno_official ! 🏢🕵️‍♀️We started at the launch stores and then ventured to some undisclosed, exciting new sites! 👀Keeping secrets 🤐 has never been this fun, you’ll see when all is revealed! ☕❤️ On the coffee trail in Prague, there’s a fascinating coffee scene. Every sip brought us to inspirational interiors provoking a new perspective on design thinking 💡 🏰🎨 Beautiful architecture and rich art blankets this city. Let’s talk about our favourite coffee brand for a minute! ☕️ Time after time we have the incredible opportunity to work with the amazing team at @frankandhonestcoffee and this work was to showcase their delicious range of seasonal coffee and iced drinks. And, of course, we had to bring in our go-to photographer and stylist @visualfeasts to really capture the essence of their fantastic products! As brand guardians, we’ve been involved with Frank and Honest since their inception in 2017, and it’s been such a joy to create this brand initially as well as to watch it grow and evolve into the market-leading brand it is today! 💫 Here we pulled in some key brand cues, such as the beautiful patina background featured on their new units in-store (which we specced out the finish of ourselves too). As always, we’re all about the details, and it’s these touches that make a brand really stand out. As brand guardians, our work isn’t just restricted to art direction - we’re involved in everything from in-store POS and merchandise design to OOH and digital. It’s a multifaceted role, but it’s one that we absolutely love! Let’s take a trip down design memory lane to our amazing project with @flow_pilates_ballincollig ! 💪✨ Teaming up with the brilliant Michelle from @mpc_marketing , we had a clear and cohesive brief to create something truly unique for this fantastic pilates studio in Ballincollig, Cork. Our typographical solution was all about capturing the essence of pilates movements. We used cut letterforms to mimic the angles and fluidity of the body during those empowering pilates sessions. The result? A brand identity that is poised, assured, and classic, with just the right amount of edge! 🌟 Together, we brought their vision to life, ensuring that every aspect of their brand perfectly aligned with their marketing strategy. It was an absolute joy to collaborate on this project and see the studio’s brand flourish! Throwing it back to one of our favorite projects! 🎉✨ We had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with amazing smoothie brand @proboxire who started their journey in a humble converted horse-box in the picturesque countryside of County Meath. 🌳🐴 Their mission was simple yet powerful: to bring you the purest, freshest, and most delicious drinks made with minimal ingredients. 🍓🥤 Their smoothies are like a gift from nature itself! 🌿 We had a blast creating their typographical identity, infusing the fruit essence into the ‘o’ of Pro and adding movement to the letterforms, capturing the essence of a healthy and vibrant lifestyle! 💪🏻 We had so much fun with the little details, like using “smoothie operator” in the tone and saying “shake me, I’m just resting my eyes” on the back of the pack! 😑🫨😆 The label design spec was kept quite minimal, just like the simple and clean ingredient deck. With opaque white and gold ink on a transparent label, these smoothies are impactful on the shelves, letting the natural goodness inside speak for itself. 🌟 #tbt #smoothie #branding #packaging #design 📸 @proboxire

Let us tell you more about our #packagingdesign that was shortlisted for the #idiawards2023 🥳 We thought we’d get into the concept a little more here and tell you what inspired the design. As an alcohol free product with flavour cues linked more to the #craftbeer category we had license to break away from their typical packaging style into a more creative, illustrative solution. We collaborated with the amazing Nóra Toth at @polkadot_lab to bring the scenes to life and the brief was grounded in The Happy Pear iconic #brand USPs in this case eg. their 4 acre organic, regenerative farm in Wicklow. These bright, energetic scenarios featured playful characters and biodiverse scenes mirroring The Happy Pear brand values … full of character, championing fun active living and a commitment to encouraging biodiversity on their farm. From there we pulled the concept further together through tone of voice throughout the pack from naming of products to back of pack storytelling. We chose the name ‘Hoppy Days’ for the farm scene. The #typography used has a touch of playfulness and the colour palette is bright, vibrant and distinctive helping to create impact on shelf. Photography: @visualfeasts | Styling: @charlotteoco
