Frames from yesterday’s vigil and protest ride in memory of Alex Pretti. Thank you so much to each and every person that came to support yesterday in the rain up on Galbraith Mountain. We counted about 185 people on Galbraith alone, with another larger ride taking place in town with @bellinghamgravel . Alex could have been any of us, and it’s up to all of us to care for our neighbors and speak out against the actions of a government who does not care for us, and who don’t know the first thing about community and compassion like we do. RIP Alex Pretti. Thank you to @angrycatfish for bringing us all together. Thank you @emma.jane.n for capturing the morning before we headed up the hill. Thank you to @gearaid for providing coffee. Three new tires launched today! @the4color made me look sick as hell in these photos we took. It might make me feel warm and fuzzy if you spend your money on something I designed, but will make me feel warmer and fuzzier if you ride your bike as much as possible no matter what kind of rubber and metal you have bolted together. Take it to the woods and find the loamiest loam. Build a jump out of wood and bricks. Wear warm socks and push to the top of a mountain. Pedal until you forget how to think, and then pedal some more. Patch your tubes. Learn to build wheels. Don’t replace stuff until it’s worn out. Teach someone how to wheelie. Stash a beer in the stream. Ride for 6 hours or 2 hours or 20 minutes. DO IT! NOW!
