“Nung nag-break up, parang ni-resent ko ‘yung music. Tapos pina-realize nila — mga kasama ko nung pandemic — na gusto ko pala talaga magbanda.” – Badjao De Castro
After IV OF SPADES disbanded in 2020, drummer Badjao De Castro joined Party Pace, an indie supergroup of established musicians from the likes of Sandwich and Chicosci, with whom he spent most of his time post-breakup. But he would still make it a point to watch the solo shows of his former bandmates as often as he could, so he could watch them with pride.
Now that IV OF SPADES are back together, he can’t wait to play gigs with them again. “Excited ako tumugtog ulit. Ibang halimaw din sila sa live, eh. Pag pinapanood ko silang solo, parang, ‘Yeah, that’s my boy!’”
