More than just creating images, youâre holding space for a very delicate, powerful moment.
Thereâs a tenderness required that goes beyond posing and lighting. Bodies are stretched, sometimes tired, sometimes uncomfortable. Movements need to be slow, minimal, very intentional, and considerate.
You donât rush into poses, you guide gently, allowing the body settle naturally.
Every adjustment should feel like care, not control.
Your words as a photographer matter just as much as your hands.
Reassure, affirm, let your client know sheâs doing beautifully well, because in moments like this, confidence can be fragile.
The way you speak can either ease or make her too self-conscious.
Be observant. Notice when she needs to sit, when she needs a break, also when a pose is too much.
Always create an environment where she feels safe, seen, and respected. Sometimes, the best images come from simply allowing her to exist in the moment, without pressure.
And above all, remember, youâre not just capturing a bump. Youâre documenting strength, sacrifice, and the quiet miracle of life unfolding.

-Backstory; Daniel reached out a few days before the session (even though weâve actually been trying to make this happen for God knows when⌠schedules just never aligned).
When he finally reached out, he sent his inspos and oh man⌠nothing less than 100 images đ . I went through every single slide just to properly understand the direction he wanted. After that, we scheduled a call so we could talk through the ideas and I could hear directly from him what he had in mind.
Everything got locked in, appointment made, and the day finally came.
Now guess who walked into the studio and sent me another truckload of inspo images right there on the spot? You guessed right⌠Daniel đ .
They werenât too far from the original moodboard he had sent earlier, so at that point I already had a clear picture of what he wanted.
