Septober Energy expands its zine project in collaboration with
@balaclava_books , deepening our shared commitment to independent publishing and cross-disciplinary exchange. This edition will be available at our pop-up hosted at The Commons Muizenberg, an enclave for arts, conversation and community by the sea.
@balaclava_books (est. 2025) is an independent bookshop founded and curated by partners in crime Duduetsang Lamola and Dylan Brooks. Offering a collection of secondhand books, printed matter and other objects for sale at reasonable prices, Balaclava Books sources material for curious readers of all ages, cultivating a space for learning and free thought. Their partnership with The Commons Muizenberg grounds the shop in a space where ideas circulate freely and where readers, artists and thinkers converge.
In the spirit of Friendship Next of Kin, this collaboration extends outward. Independent artists, publishers and distributors

@blackpraxes will have some or their works on site with digital prints, posters, zines, t-shirts, stickers and newsletters. This is not just a point of sale but a cross-pollination of practices, a meeting of multiple languages, multiple hands, multiple futures.
