Introducing our new label— Backstep Backstep is a creative endeavor co-directed by Jae Seung and Alex Schenck of Two Fold. As a sister brand, it focuses on design outside of the vintage field, expanding beyond what we do with Two Fold, while embracing a darker, more minimalist theme. For years, we’ve wanted to build another brand alongside Two Fold that exists outside of the vintage bubble. At the same time, we never wanted to force it or divide our attention before the timing felt right. We didn’t want to sacrifice the level of quality and depth that has always defined Two Fold’s vintage curation, or move away from the foundation the brand was built on. Creating Backstep allows us to explore new ideas and product design while keeping Two Fold fully rooted in vintage. Two Fold will always remain focused on vintage. Backstep exists so we can explore a different creative direction alongside it. Now we’re ready to introduce the first product release from this new label, Backstep, with many more to come throughout this year and beyond.
