The Ultimate Deadly! For seventeen years I’ve been scouring the globe for Deadly creatures, diving with crocodiles and sharks, coming nose to nose with the most venomous snakes and spiders, filming lightning fast birds of prey and getting up close with the biggest and most powerful carnivores.   THIS book is the result of all that work. Of years of expeditions, blood, sweat and tears. It is the last word on predators, modern and ancient.   We face off the greatest Deadly animals our planet has ever seen, investigate their evolution, biology, weaponry and secret skills.   ‘Deadly: My Ultimate Lethal Beasts’ is out on the 25th of September. You can pre-order via this link https://lnk.to/DeadlyBookSteveBackshall

I took my kids swimming with BABY SHARKS in Cornwall and it turned into one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences we’ve ever had. 🦈🌊 Watch the full film over on my YouTube channel @SteveBackshallOfficial Join us as we head out along the UK coast to search for tiny wild sharks hiding beneath the surface. The kids had no idea what to expect, and honestly… neither did I! Most people don’t realise the UK is home to amazing shark species — including Blues, Nursehounds and small spotted catsharks living right off our coastline. A massive thank you to our local expert guide Gio Prince (@giosdiving ) and Adam Radage (@adamradage_wild ), for the absolutely stunning shark and underwater footage. Your work is incredible and helped show these animals in all their glory. And an extra special thanks to George Morris (@fathomfilms ) for capturing the day! If you enjoyed the adventure, don’t forget to like and subscribe and come along for the next adventure! So proud of what @backshall.steve and the Deadly 60 team have achieved 🙌🤩. A @bafta nomination (you’ll get the win next time team!!) and introducing countless youngsters to the love of wildlife 💚. Now Steve’s off to go diving with seahorses and I’m jumping on the sleeper train to Cornwall for the school run.. Normal life resumes 😅

You won't believe what we found in UK rockpools!! With local legend and scuba diver @giosdiving , we took the kids on a rock pool safari to find crazy creatures we’d never seen before… Rock pools are full of surprises if you slow down and look closely enough, and this trip turned into a proper little adventure. Some of these creatures are tiny, beautiful, weird… and completely mind-blowing. A massive thank you to Rachel Edworthy (@rachel_edworthy ) and Gio Prince (@giosdiving ), for the absolutely stunning sea slug and flatworm footage featured in this film — your work is extraordinary and helped show these animals in all their glory. If you enjoyed the adventure, don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel through my bio @SteveBackshallOfficial and come along for the next adventure! #britishwildlifephotography #seaslug #seahare #rockpooling #ukwildlife
