So grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of the glam team for the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards ✨ @cafawards So incredible that this is defined as the Canadian Met Gala 😱 I had the pleasure of doing makeup for the multi-talented @wabanoonkwe ! She’s such a vibe! I felt so honored because her stunning designs were worn as the first look on @michaella.montana of eTalk News! She is the programs first Indigenous host! 👏 I was also so happy to meet V from @viisualphotography . I truly enjoyed connecting with her and getting to see her incredible work in real time ✨ An inspiring photographer and creative from California, beautifully showcasing the beauty and power of Indigenous fashion!💃🏾 A special thank you to @tishaannthompson for always thinking of me and including me in nights like these. Her copper corset, copper jewelry and skirt by her and @karenfranciss was the second look of the night on @michaella.montana 🥹🤩🥳Seeing their art on display while Michaella presented an award was such a proud moment for my friends❤️ I’m always in awe of the places they’re going and I’m crying happy tears that I get to witness it🥹 Moments like this remind me how powerful it is to witness Indigenous women making their mark and leading in the fashion world! Happy Birthday @hayleejacco ✨ I am so beyond grateful to have a friend like you that’s been there since we were teenagers. We were college roommates, you were there for Aurie and I when I needed help the most as a new mother, our boys are best friends and teammates, you were apart of so many milestones, amazing and funny memories, and you were there for me in my darkest of days to pull me up and dust me off. I am so honored to watch you be a bride. You’re an inspiration to so many including myself, you’re the hardest working lady, with the biggest and kindest heart and so so beautiful. It was such an honor to do makeup for @tishaannthompson & @karenfranciss at the France–Canada Chamber of Commerce Gala alongside @weareseeingred & @lorealpro 🪶❤️ I always love to do any projects for Tisha & Karen, they are such an inspiration and being apart of anything they do is something I’m always grateful for❤️ They are destined for BIG things and they deserve it all! @creelauren and I got the chance to work with @lorealpro and I couldn’t be more proud of us and thankful for the opportunity! This @fccco_on_mb gala was a powerful event for us from Akwesasne to be apart of! This Gala brought the French Canadian businesses together, Canadian and French Leaders in government to bridge culture, electrification, innovation, and sustainability to the forefront. @nexans.ca heartbeat is to reduce environmental impact and deliver sustainability to all. AND LET ME TELL YOU THESE LOOKS WERE ALL ELECTRIFYING ⚡️ Creating a look to complement such a powerful story of the use of copper was an experience in itself.
