On this day, we know what’s at stake for our communities, however, we also know that every attempt to dismantle our rights, separate our families, and criminalize our people has been met with collective resistance. The path ahead demands more from us, but we don’t walk it alone. Through decades of state violence, our communities have built deep networks of care and support. We’ve learned that our strength is built while moving together. Today, we choose to transform our concerns into collective power, to stand firm in our commitment to each other, and to build the future we know is possible. The numbers are in! Through principled struggle and co-governance, our communities exercised real electoral power in 2024. From protecting abortion access to electing leaders who come from our neighborhoods - we showed what’s possible when working-class people organize and vote together. This is just the beginning. Ready to join the movement for 2024? Link in bio to get involved. #ElectoralPower #Organizing #AZPolitics #PhoenixElections

Building electoral power isn’t about one person or organization—it’s about the collective response of our communities showing up for each other. For 150+ days in the Phoenix heat, our team and partners walked neighborhoods, listened to families’ stories, and built relationships block by block. Together with @opinorg , @weareworkerpower , Vamos Phoenix and @arizonaworkingfamiliesparty , we connected with our neighbors about the changes they want to see in their communities. This work requires us to challenge systems that harm our neighborhoods and create new ways of caring for each other through principled struggle and co-governance. Thank you to every volunteer who dedicated their time, and energy to these council races. Our strength comes from moving in cohesiveness, rooted in dignity and our commitment to a liberated future. Together, we are building political power to transform how decisions are made in our city and state. #PhoenixElections #AZPoder #CoGovernance #Arizona

Last night we partnered with IBEW Local 360, PHX Starbucks Workers United, IUPAT Local 36, and Poder in Action at our Workers over Billionaires forum. Labor unions, grassroots organizations, and community members came together to strategize about how we build worker power. It’s more important now than ever to connect and build power for workers at a time when billionaires have hoarded obscene wealth at our expense. We want to thank everyone who joined us last night. Together, we will fight to put workers over billionaires!

BUSTED…PHX PD swears they’re not collaborating with ICE when we all know they’re handing our people over to the deportation machine at 4th Ave jail! —— ¡PHX PD jura que no está colaborando con ICE cuando todos sabemos que están entregando a nuestra gente a la máquina de deportación en la cárcel de 4th Ave!

⚠️ Anti-immigrant bill ⚠️ The Arizona ICE Act would require local law enforcement to collaborate and enforce federal immigration policies. If passed- this bill will amplify and strengthen Trump’s criminalization of our migrant communities and continue turning local police into immigration enforcers. We have seen the impacts of 287 (g) agreements under former Sheriff Arpaio. We will not allow this to be repeated on a state-wide scale. SHOW UP. Monday, Feb. 10, at the State Capitol to stand up against this racist anti-immigrant bill. ✊🏽

While Phoenix families struggle with rising housing costs and 645 heat deaths last year, AZ sheriffs demand $100M to enforce Prop 314’s anti-immigrant agenda. This is how the political establishment works - choosing state violence over community well-being. Through building power with our communities and principled struggle, we’ll create the future we deserve - one where our people have resources for life, not more money for police terror.

Police-backed politicians can’t be trusted: After getting AZ Police Association’s endorsement, Gallego blocks DOJ oversight of Phoenix PD and backs the anti-immigrant bill. We can’t trust politicians who choose police unions over our communities.

Today marks the start of the legislative session. Our communities are building political power to transform existing systems into ones prioritizing our health and well-being. Through co-governance and principled struggle, we continue to demand accountability from officials and creating policies that reflect our values.

The Arizona legislative session starts January 13. Politicians will make decisions that directly impact our lives - from housing to policing to immigration. It’s time for working families in Arizona to lead the way in defining what safety and wellness look like in our communities and for elected officials to deliver on co-governance.
