Since it’s inception in 2010, I’ve been a huge @omnipollo fan. I’ve loved the creativity and playfulness in the brewing, the beautiful attitude and of course the wonderful art work around the brand: unique, distinctive, bold, it’s own style. @karlgrandin , responsible for that side of things, is for me, one of the best there is. So when I took on marketing responsibities at the @fountainofyouth.gold I just had to reach out to them to see if they would be open to doing something together. Could coconut water fit into the brewing process? They said JA! And the result is HARD PINEAPPLE, a tropical, boozy summer crusher brewed with Fountain of Youth coconut water, real pineapple, touch of coconut cream and key lime. Getting to work with Karl on the label was a creative ambition realised for me. The idea we settled on was inspired by Thai amulets, in this case the Tiger. Karl did his magic on the Tiger and I was honoured to contribute a little monkey peeking out from behind the fangs. In my humble opinion, one thing the NoLo drinks category could learn from the craft beer scene is their openness to collaborate. So many NoLo brands seem a bit stiff to me, a bit precious about their own product. But things get interesting when lines get blurred and stuff get mixed up. It’s fun and great for the customer too! A sincere and heartfelt thank you Henok, Karl and all at Omnipollo! You’ll find me passed out by the pool.

Some say the ghosts of children can be the most wrathful since they have had the most lifetime taken from them. I fervently hope there is a special level of hell awaiting that man and all those who enable him. But I suspect that hell will be the very land he is standing on. How can you ever build a joyful, prosperous, loving, contented and peaceful society on top of the screams, the blood and bones and ghosts of a people you have erased? The land will be forever haunted.

Dear friends. We need your help! Me and my half @riokaramutaki are launching a little family side business! Our first product is Spirited Away, a plant-based potion that powers up the skin, brightens the mood AND repels mosquitoes. The brand @drumsandgongs looks both east and west 🇯🇵🇪🇺 and is inspired by our shared fascination with ghosts and the occult. 👻 For me personally, I suppose this represents a milestone in my life, whereby I’ve accumulated enough experience to tackle everything, from A-Z. Idea -> formulation -> sourcing -> production -> branding -> packaging design & production -> marketing -> distribution & sales. Let’s see... 🍌 On a wider level, this is very much about our kids. It seems to us that higher education & society in general is doing a really poor job at preparing the young for the challenges of making a fulfilling living for themselves. This is our attempt to give them some kind of alternative education, to try to show first-hand that there can be a route to independence through creativity, hard work, self-reliance but also with the collaboration and mutual support of like-minded people with shared values. This will very much be a YES to child labour project! Which brings me back to the call for help...
