Sasha KALININA - AZA GUEST ARTIST 26’
joined the dancers of the AZA Dance Program for an incredible masterclass, challenging them through a movement language and technique that felt unfamiliar at first …yet, in the end, revealed how much they all have in common.
It was an inspiring and enriching experience for everyone involved.
We were left wanting more

On Wednesday, February 25th, we gathered at the Auditório Fernando Lopes-Graça, in Parque Palmela, for a meaningful moment of artistic exchange and shared experience.

Donnie Duncan was our first guest artist of April!
He accepted the challenge of coming to teach a masterclass to the dancers of AZA Dance Program.
We were able to make the most of this opportunity since Donnie is part of the cast of dancers for Rosalía’s Lux Tour.
The work he brought, created by himself, was highly challenging and detail-oriented.
Thank you for the hours of work shared , they were incredible.
See you next year (with more time). 🍀

We had our last guest artist before the break of the AZA Dance Program dancers.
Catarina Casqueiro joined us for the past week, diving into an intense process of creation and composition, challenging the dancers to their limits.
It was a week filled with dedication, great energy, and strong commitment from everyone involved.
Thank you for everything, Catarina ♥️
AZA x Ca.DA
We were involved in a collaborative process with the dancers of the Almada Dance Company.
Every day, the dancers from the AZA Dance Program went to the company’s studio, where they collaborated choreographically with one another.
It was a week full of challenges, guided by Bruno Duarte and Inês Pedruco.
At the end of the process, in a site-specific approach and with the authorization of Casa da Cerca in Almada, we filmed the final outcomes.
Once again, thank you for this collaboration, which was truly important for us.

With them, they brought challenges that were not only choreographic, but also deeply interpretative. It was a full week of pure exploration.
Thank you so much ♥️
Our first February guest artist: Beatriz Mira 🤍
Three intensive days of composition proposals, choreographic phrases, and partner contact work.
Thank you for everything shared during these days.

Deeogo Oliveira was this week’s Guest Artist.
The dancers had access to different floor work technique tools and were also challenged to compose.
They were intense and demanding days.
