We’re going even bigger this year at LoFi with an all star lineup of local favorites doing their best dad rock impressions. This is your chance to spend some quality time with pops and sip on a cold one while waxing poetic about the way things used to be. Mustache competition returns. Dad rock fit contest makes its debut. There will be vendors & much more.

Wilt was written as a slower, ballad arrangement, but my brother told me no one wants a sad slow song and it would sound better sped up… tbh, I think he was right.

New single “I’m the Color Green,” is live. I’m very proud of this one. Produced (and drums) by @wolfgangzimm , recorded and mixed at @coastrecords , it’s a sound I’ve been searching for a while but couldn’t quite achieve.
Absolute studio dream team injected life into this voice memo I had for nearly three years. @jesuchristo and I recorded the acoustic parts together into one mic with a standard tuning and a Nashville tuned acoustic, @ron_route put that magic touch on the four strings, @rossboganswolfmask came in for clean up and took er home.
The melodies wouldn’t sound right without a little sparkle, @jordanigoemusic came in for some BGVs.

About three years ago it felt like life went into super speed mode. I got engaged, got married, moved to Charleston, bought a house, had a kid, had another, and recorded about 30 new songs.
During this time I dealt with some health issues that landed me in and out the hospital a few times, where I learned my heart doesn’t work the way a normal 30 year olds heart should. It put into perspective how little control we have.
I felt a paradigm shift in the way I appreciated the people in my life, my family, the relationships I’ve made and continue to make… but at times it felt like I was a passenger in my life, just along for the ride. With that, I learned embracing the unknown is part of that makes life so fun.
That’s kind of why I’m changing things up. I’ve entered a new part of my life, and I wanted to match that creatively. I feel like I’ve grown as a person, and as a songwriter, and I want a fresh start.
Enter: Beau Monde
Kind of feels like starting over again, and I hope y’all dig it. I appreciate the love so far and can’t wait to share more of these songs with you. I really put a lot of love and heart into them. They’re about moving to Charleston, starting something new, embracing the unknowns of life, and appreciating all the love life has to offer.
Brings me back to the age old question: Why struggle? 🐋🐋

“Sweetgrass” is one of the two new @ayyybeau tracks that just released. This one we channeled that old school Waylon Jennings vibe country with a little psychedelia mixed in. Cowboys have things they gotta work through too, ya know? This is that 70s disco country. Check out the double release of this and “Through The Dirt” out now 🤠
