A year ago, I couldn’t have imagined this. 🏍️🇬🇭
After 5 years of going back and forth—even after relocating to Ghana—I still wasn’t sure biking was for me. But I kept following @saferiderng , quietly building the courage to try.
Around this time last year, I finally reached out to @saferiderng and @aysugarr kindly tried to set me up for lessons, but distance got in the way. Then came the golden words: “If you trust me, then trust Dan.” And just like that, I was off to @gearshiftacademy .
With my usual mix of fear and… more fear 😂, I took the leap. Huge shoutout to @themotochecker , @isis_eye64 , and @paytii — absolute legends who made the journey worth it. Yes, I broke a rule near the end of training (don’t ask 😅), but since then?
I’ve ridden almost every day for the past 365 days and covered thousands of kilometres across Ghana. From fear to freedom — what a ride it’s been.
