Meet AYDO (@aydo_studio ) a collaborative artist duo founded in 2020 by A young Yu (@ayoungyustudio ) and Nicholas Oh (@nicholasohstudio ), whose personal and diasporic histories shape how they reimagine Korean folklore and spiritual traditions.
In “Border Ecologies,” a video and ceramic installation, AYDO explores the Korean Demilitarized Zone and the US–Mexico borderland, two charged landscapes etched by colonization, displacement, and political tension. They weave the memory held by these spaces into questions of identity, history, and belonging.
