After 15 years, A Wider Bridge has made the difficult decision to wind down our operations on December 31, 2025. This decision follows a year of challenging financial realities that, despite every effort to overcome, are no longer sustainable. We are incredibly proud of the community of queer Jews and allies we have built together. Over the past 15 years, we’ve worked to build bridges between LGBTQ+ communities in North America and Israel, counter antisemitism and LGBTQphobia, and advance LGBTQ rights in Israel. We are deeply grateful to our dedicated staff, whose passion and commitment made this work possible every single day. Though we are winding down, this is not a time to back down. Our board members remain committed to showing up in their individual capacities, and we know our partners and supporters will continue this work forward. Thank you for being part of A Wider Bridge’s legacy.

Please follow them, and head to lgbt.org.il to learn more about how you can support this organization. They’ve been at the forefront off lgbt rights and community work for 5 decades and do vital work, including work for at risk youth, Palestinian lgbt asylum seekers, healthcare, and so much more.

Dr. Jessica Zmood is a New York State Licensed Clinical Psychologist working in private practice in Manhattan since 2010. Starting November 7, she joins Rabbi Denise L. Eger in facilitating an Antisemitism LGBTQ+ Support group specifically for LGBTQ health care providers (therapists, social workers, doctors, nurses). For many in the queer community, being Jewish or Israeli can bring moments of unease in spaces that should feel safe. Let’s gather together to build our community, clarity, and courage. Guided by Ron Glait, Director of Community Education at the Jewish Family and Children’s Services Holocaust Center, we will explore contemporary antisemitism as it relates to Israel and Zionism. We will also practice recognizing, responding to, and interrupting antisemitism. Sunday, November 2 in San Francisco. Sign up at awiderbridge.org/sf #awiderbridge #lgbtq #jewish

Tanya Tsikanovsky is a first generation American whose parents immigrated from the USSR with the help of the Jewish Federation. She is a proud Jew and Zionist who has committed herself to supporting Israel and combating antisemitism. On November 9 she will speak in the Pride for Israel, the first of its kind LGBTQ+ conference supporting Israel. Learn more at prideforisrael.planningpod.com Tanya has a longstanding history of being an advocate for Israel, having attended graduate school there, lead Birthright trips, and served as a Hillel Director. Now she spends her time with speaking engagements, doing meaningful Jewish non-profit work, and utilizing social media platforms to advocate for Israel and its alliance with the United States. "My Zionism seems to be in direct conflict with the queer community," Tanya told @voyagelamag . "The queer community has been hijacked by the pro terror movement. Pride parades blatantly ban Zionists from attending. This is antisemitism. So no, it has absolutely not been a smooth road. But as Jews, we inherently know nothing in life is easy and that’s why we always persevere. We survive, we thrive, we win. We always will." #awiderbridge #prideforisrael @highlyjewish @jfederations @standwithus @hillelintl @birthrightisrael
