Images from a location scout that never came to life. I don’t think there’s ever been a project that has weighed on me as much as this one. Having a story so vivid in your head, knowing its tone, its colours, its emotional gravity, and still not being able to bring it into existence is a particular kind of heartbreak. Especially when you’ve poured so much into it. The hardest may be knowing that the crew behind it were people I deeply admire, people who believed in it too. It’s been over a year now and I still haven’t shot anything back home in Mexico. Maybe that’s why this one stings the most. I just hope the story finds me again when the time is right, and we’ll finally be able to tell it.
