The 7,525-carat “Chimpembele” rough emerald, mined in Zambia, was recently certified by @guinnessworldrecords as the largest on record. What a thrill to see it in person… not sure what’s more impressive, the size or the beautiful color! Thanks to Avraham Eshed and the team at @eshed_gemstar for the opportunity!

Fun fact 1: Chimpembele means Rhino in the Zambian dialect of Bemba;
Fun fact 2: The stone has passed through @gubelinofficial Gem Lab’s Provenance Proof traceability program. It creates a DNA for the emerald meaning any polished will be traced back to the mother rough stone;
Fun fact 3: As a May baby - a month of great miracles and wonders - Emerald is my birth stone
