Been debating how vulnerable I needed to be when making this post, and decided I might as well paint the picture. Because rock n roll isn’t all fun and games.
This tour was a true test of will and strength. I boarded the airplane to London and was immediately greeted by the most horrific, lasting food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. It’s been two weeks and I’m writing this while in bed, nursing the debilitating nausea that’s repeatedly come and gone. Went to urgent care, two hospitals, and three countries. Played some incredible shows when I was able to. Also missed the last few shows due to this cursed bacterial infection in my stomach.
Despite the disappointment and frustration, the show went on and my friends in
@tinystills and
@cheerbleederz finished the tour with fire in the hearts, AND while dealing with their own illnesses. I’m both so proud to see them play such amazing shows, and also endlessly grateful for their support and for bringing me along for the ride. I truly wouldn’t have survived without their help.
Additional shout outs to
@wanderadams @jimy_cleveland @photosonny and
@mikeyc314 for treating me like a brother in arms and getting me the help that I needed. Truly some of the most kind-hearted dudes I’ve had the pleasure of being around.
Anyway, I’m surviving and I’m hoping to be back to 100%… sometime soon. Hopefully, like, yesterday. Because this truly sucks so, so hard.
See you in the next one 🤘🏼
