CitySpace welcomes Ailey Verdelle to the Blue Room stage on Sunday, October 26, for their presentation of Earth Tones and Layers, an evening where sound becomes ritual, and music opens the door to reflection, connection, and transformation.
As part of their Pay It Forward residency with CitySpace, Ailey offers a performance rooted in reflection, improvisation, and intentional space-holding. Blending jazz, electronic textures, and free-form composition, Ailey's work invites the audience into a shared experience, one where rhythm meets ritual and sound becomes a form of care.
More than a concert, this evening is an offering: an invitation to sit with the complexities of the present while imagining more just and compassionate futures through sound. The evening is shaped by nearly a decade of community-rooted artistry and connection through music, storytelling, and grounding in the gifts of Nipmuc, Pocumtuc, and Nonotuc land.
