My album Role Model comes out on Friday, and I’m performing the project at @bombyx.live on Saturday 3/21 at 7pm (doors at 6). There will be members of the Ujima Singers (the choir that I direct since Evelyn Harris’s passing), the Queer Joy Chorus, and a wonderful band of my favorite collaborators: @hazelbasilmusic @richardparrisscott @averdelle (Ailey will be playing the pipe organ, which I’m psyched about!) As a Northampton-born artist, I’m really hoping to see figures from all 25 years of my life in Western MA come out to support this project which is so much about my community. I’m dreaming of filling the sanctuary with people, and leading the whole community in my style of congregational music. Please come out and sing with me; you’ll be glad you did. happy mardi gras — it has been quiet on here. i am here sharing some of the abundance i have felt over the past few months and reconnecting with this community. one of my goals for the new year is to continue to present my work to all of you. this is a complex process and is not easy for me, as i value my time with my instrument over sharing and performing. however! i feel abundant, and the community of musicians i connect to restores and nurtures me. i am so grateful for this craft and for the time i get to spend in community with my instrument and with my creative loved ones. as i learn to share more with all of you, you can expect photos, short videos of my process, resources and uplifting the content of others whose views are important and resonant. over the next few weeks, i will be releasing some of my work via bandcamp and youtube. i would appreciate your support and attention as i re-enter and engage with performance and sharing. links to my youtube and bandcamp are in my bio. within this post, i am sharing @kimcgibbons beautiful capture of one of my favorite recent performances. with @udugirl @plaxmusic @artbyinde @hazelbasilmusic . i acknowledge my collaborators, my family, all of you, @cityspace413 the performance was so connected and the space was full of love and warmth. those of you who attended or were there in spirit made this a magical experience. next up — Friday March 6 Full Performance Video from Earth Tones and Layers at Cityspace Easthampton (10/21/25) released via Bandcamp and Youtube Indë’s Album Release Party at Bombyx 3/21 @artbyinde @hazelbasilmusic I will also be releasing some music throughout the spring. CitySpace welcomes Ailey Verdelle to the Blue Room stage on Sunday, October 26, for their presentation of Earth Tones and Layers, an evening where sound becomes ritual, and music opens the door to reflection, connection, and transformation. As part of their Pay It Forward residency with CitySpace, Ailey offers a performance rooted in reflection, improvisation, and intentional space-holding. Blending jazz, electronic textures, and free-form composition, Ailey's work invites the audience into a shared experience, one where rhythm meets ritual and sound becomes a form of care. More than a concert, this evening is an offering: an invitation to sit with the complexities of the present while imagining more just and compassionate futures through sound. The evening is shaped by nearly a decade of community-rooted artistry and connection through music, storytelling, and grounding in the gifts of Nipmuc, Pocumtuc, and Nonotuc land. Joined by special guest @plaxmusic , Ailey will guide listeners through a journey of grief, joy, memory, and collective release. Come spend this evening in celebration of autumn, and enjoy the warmth created by an artist who transforms sound into a vessel for healing and transformation.
