At long last, I’m pleased to share that my first attempt at a photo book has been (self-)published.
𝘙𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘗𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘨𝘦 consists of analog photographs I made while wandering the streets of Berlin by night following my arrival here in 2020 — about a year after my father’s death upended the previous chapter of life and ushered in the shaky foundations of a new one. The series is a meditation of sorts... on the circumstances and choices that led me to Berlin (a city my father also avidly photographed in the 80s and 90s), as well as on grief, memory, and photography as an inherited practice.

Making a book was a very challenging endeavor. I certainly couldn’t have done it without the help of many patient friends, mentors, and collaborators. Thank you to everyone who played a role along the way.
I am especially grateful to my co-curator,
@marcvolkprojects of
@ipsberlin , who helped bring order to chaos, guided me through many tough decisions, and wasn’t too upset when I managed to spell his name wrong in the imprint.
A special thanks also goes to
@outerspacepress , an incredible bookmaking duo who were kind enough to take on my half-baked project and, over the course of many months, put so much care and expertise into each step of the production process.
Lastly, my gratitude goes to
@diogojeremias and
@joannagarm0n , for their support on countless fronts, regardless of the request or the time and energy required to fulfill it.

There are plenty of copies of the book available for purchase. For now, they’re all here with me, but keep an eye out for other distribution points down the line.
Please get in touch if you’re interested in acquiring one.
