At long last, I’m pleased to share that my first attempt at a photo book has been (self-)published. 𝘙𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘗𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘨𝘦 consists of analog photographs I made while wandering the streets of Berlin by night following my arrival here in 2020 — about a year after my father’s death upended the previous chapter of life and ushered in the shaky foundations of a new one. The series is a meditation of sorts... on the circumstances and choices that led me to Berlin (a city my father also avidly photographed in the 80s and 90s), as well as on grief, memory, and photography as an inherited practice. . . Making a book was a very challenging endeavor. I certainly couldn’t have done it without the help of many patient friends, mentors, and collaborators. Thank you to everyone who played a role along the way. I am especially grateful to my co-curator, @marcvolkprojects of @ipsberlin , who helped bring order to chaos, guided me through many tough decisions, and wasn’t too upset when I managed to spell his name wrong in the imprint. A special thanks also goes to @outerspacepress , an incredible bookmaking duo who were kind enough to take on my half-baked project and, over the course of many months, put so much care and expertise into each step of the production process. Lastly, my gratitude goes to @diogojeremias and @joannagarm0n , for their support on countless fronts, regardless of the request or the time and energy required to fulfill it. . . There are plenty of copies of the book available for purchase. For now, they’re all here with me, but keep an eye out for other distribution points down the line. Please get in touch if you’re interested in acquiring one. . . Some book specs: -230 x 215 mm -Edition of 150 -104 pages / 63 images -Meta Extra Rough 170g paper -Tipped-in cover photo -Foil-stamped title on cover and spine -Smyth-sewn binding 📷Photos of the book by the very talented @riccardocontrino

A few installation shots of my series “Surface Studies,” recently on view at Kunstquartier Bethanien in Berlin as part of the exhibition “No Person Without a World.” The group show was the culmination of a year-long seminar at @ostkreuzschule_seminare led by @mirjanavrbaski , with curatorial advice from @julia_kochanek .

I am immensely proud to present the exhibition of my first @ostkreuzschulefuerfotografie seminar ’No Person Without A World.’ We spent one year together, developing projects, getting to know each other, asking questions, and ultimately photographing our lives in all their touching complexity. We cannot wait to open our doors on April 2! // Vernissage Thursday, April 2, 19:00 Exhibition April 2-5, 2026 Thur-Sat 10:00-20:00, Su 10:00-18:00 Kunstquartier Bethanien Projektraum Mariannenplatz 2, 10997 Berlin No Person Without a World Seminar Mirjana Vrbaški Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie “There is no person without a world,” writes the poet Anne Carson, referring to the intricate web of influences, events, and relationships that surrounds each human being. In the exhibition “No Person Without a World,” nine photographers examine the worlds that exist within and around us. Through intimate encounters – with places, people, stories, and themselves – the artists touch on a range of universal experiences, from loss and pain to love and companionship. // With works by: Angelika Eppert @foryourdreamsonly angelikaeppert.com Avery Edelman @aveedelman Claudia Gil: @c.laudiagil Heike Kosa @heikekosa June Taraneh Ahuraian @junetaraneh Katja Regenspurger @katja.regenspurger Tarik Kemper @tarik_kah Thomas Hirsch-Hüffell @habefertig1 unglaeubigesstaunen.wordpress.com Vincent Jondeau @vy_jondeau vincentjondeau.com // Curatorial Advice: Julia Kochanek @julia_kochanek
