Well hello there! Looks like we have some new faces around here so I wanted to re-introduce the Author Made team.💫 My name is Michael, the lead photographer and videographer. I picked up photography as a hobby 5 years ago and it has since blossomed into a business with heart. One fun fact about me is that I love running and I am actually training for my second Boston Marathon. My lovely wife and business partner is Amy. As a gifted brand designer, she keeps our website looking beautiful and makes sure our brand is authentic and engaging. She loves to embroider, paint, sew, and take care of her too many plants. Our fluffy and fearless sidekicks are Winston + Margot (@winstonfluffybutt )! They keep us company while we edit photos and keep us on our toes. Maria and Caleb kept their wedding small on purpose, just 25 of their closest people, but nothing about it felt “small.” Team photographer Maddie captured the day at @ahmaitlandevents , and the setting did what it always does there, it made everything feel rich and timeless without needing to overdo it. Stonework, gardens, courtyards, and that quiet, old-world feel that photographs so well.

Maria told us she wanted “old world romance, vintage, and timeless,” and the whole day carried that through in a simple, elegant way. The ceremony took place outdoors at the Mayan Chapel, and Caleb’s dad officiated, which made it even more personal. Then the reception shifted the energy, champagne tower, happy tears, and a dance floor that stayed full, with plenty of Latin flair and the kind of joy that spreads fast when everyone in the room truly knows the couple.

Karyn and Ismael set the tone for their day at @villafestaflorida right away: intimate, relaxed, and focused on the people who mattered most. Around 60 guests, plenty of time to actually be present, and a pace that made the whole wedding feel more like a family gathering than a big production. Karyn spent the morning tucked into the house with her mom, sister, and aunt, trading gifts and recording little videos together on the bed. Ismael and his groomsmen kept it simple too, hanging out and playing Rocket League while they waited for the day to begin. Before the ceremony, there were a few quiet moments that set everything in motion.
