The Shiv Tandav Stotram doesn’t forgive mistakes. Even people who’ve recited it their whole lives still feel their breath tighten before the first line. Because this isn’t a hymn you perform, it’s one you submit to. The rhythm doesn’t adjust for you. You adjust for it. But when you finally lock in, when the consonants start striking like damarus - something cracks open. It’s hard to explain. You just feel it. I’ve sung the full Stotram. Om Namah Shivaya. . . . . . . #amishtripathi #authoramish

We remember the Cholas for their navy. But one of their greatest achievements was built inland. In the 11th century, after his victorious northern campaign, Emperor Rajendra Chola I built the massive Ponneri Lake beside his capital, Gangaikonda Cholapuram, in present-day Tamil Nadu. He even adopted the title “Gangaikonda” - the one who brought the holy Ganga. The lake was ceremonially blessed with water brought from the Ganga. More than a symbol of victory, it irrigated farmland, supported agriculture, and helped sustain the capital itself. Once stretching nearly 26 km, the lake is today around 5 km long - though restoration efforts are underway. Nearly a 1000 years later, it still reminds us that the greatest empires planned for the future, not just for victory. Sources: - K.A. A 2,000-year-old coin found in Afghanistan blew the minds of modern historians. With Mahadev’s symbols, an Iranian name, and Greek inscriptions, this discovery couldn’t be forced into a neat little historical box. This discovery shows us that our ancestors didn’t live by the borders we draw on maps today. Civilisations of that time were like rivers - meaning they shared a DNA of thought that is still present today. What do you think about this? The SaReGaMa Pillars at Vittala Temple, Hampi, are 56 solid granite pillars that produce musical notes when gently tapped. Built in the 15th century, what makes them so fascinating is that the pillars are not hollow. Researchers believe it’s the stone itself — its shape, structure, angles, and crystalline minerals like orthoclase — that creates the music that has echoed for centuries. Dancers once performed here to the sounds of these very pillars. Today, touching them is no longer allowed...to protect them from damage and preserve their magic for generations to come. Hampi, once the grand capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, continues to remind us what happens when art, engineering, and imagination meet in stone! 📍Hampi, Karnataka Source: National Geographic India #Hampi #VijayanagaraEmpire #MusicalPillars #AncientIndia #HistoryWithAmishAI

The crescent moon on Lord Shiva’s head - many think it is a decoration, but it is not! The Moon God Chandra was cursed by Daksha. Chandra went to every God in the heavens, but no one could lift the curse. Finally, he came to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva did not judge him and simply placed the dying moon on His own head and said - ‘Stay here with me. No one can touch you.’ Har Har Mahadev 🙏 P.S. The full version of the Tandav Stotram is on YouTube - link in bio! . . . . . . . . #lordshiva #tandavstotram #amishtripathi

In the Rigveda, Lord Shiva is not referred to as Shiva - He is called Rudra. A fierce and destructive Storm God. So how did a wild storm become a calm, meditating Yogi? As the ancient Vedic people moved across this subcontinent, they encountered wandering ascetics called the Munis. They had their own sacred traditions of absolute silence, tap and meditation… and our Rishis made a profound connection. They saw that the raw energy of a storm and the absolute stillness of a Yogi in deep meditation were exactly the same - just channeled differently. When Raw Energy meets Absolute Stillness, the Supreme Yogi is born - That is Mahadev🙏 Which form of Lord Mahadev fascinates you the most? Drop it in the comments! . . . . . . . . . . #LordShiva #Mahadev #Rudra #HarHarMahadev #amishtripathi

A state with this much talent and creative power should not only be remembered as a cultural force — it must rise again as an economic one. Read the full article by Amish on

The Aryan Invasion Theory was never based on evidence… It was based on a motive. British historians pushed this idea to justify colonial rule, claiming that India had always been ruled by outsiders. But there is zero archaeological proof of such an invasion. What you think about the Aryan Invasion Theory? Ravan was the Emperor of Lanka. The Conqueror of the Devas and Master of the three worlds. One day, drunk on his own power, he tried to lift Mount Kailash. Lord Shiva simply pressed down with his toe. Ravan was pinned down and helpless. And in that helplessness, the Shiv Tandav Stotram poured out. It was not composed in triumph. It was composed by a man who had finally let go and surrendered himself to Lord Shiva. Har Har Mahadev 🙏 P.S. I have sung the Tandav Stotram with @trilokbandofficial Link to the full music video in bio. . . . . . . . . . . . #ShivTandavStotram #HarHarMahadev #amishtripathi
