πŸ“š BOOK REVIEW πŸ“š Title: In the Name of Love by @author_moroti This book was gifted to me by the author herself, thank you so much! The story centers on Koriola, a young woman with a strong passion for acting who dreams of becoming a professional actress. When she lands a lead role in a stage play titled In the Name of Love, she embraces the opportunity wholeheartedly despite her hesitation about working alongside Griffin, a charming actor she doesn’t particularly like. One thing I appreciated was how the author portrayed Koriola’s ambition and drive. She’s determined, passionate, and committed to her craft. Her journey feels relatable, especially for anyone chasing a creative career. I also liked that she had a solid support system; her mother, in particular, added a refreshing touch in a world where many parents still push the idea that success must come from a traditional 9–5 job. That said, while we get a glimpse into Koriola’s ambition, I found myself wanting more depth to her character beyond her love for acting and rehearsals. I also felt disconnected from Griffin, there wasn’t enough development or insight into who he really is, which made his character feel more like an afterthought than a key part of the story. Going into this book without prior expectations, I assumed the story would deeply explore the theme behind its title. Instead, it felt more like a collection of poems performed within a stage play centred on love. The narrative remained heavily focused on the play from beginning to end, which limited the overall depth of the story. Overall, the book had potential, but it needed more substance. The writing style felt a bit flat, and the ending came across as rushed, leaving me wanting a more satisfying conclusion. Happy Anniversary and Happy birthday 🎊πŸ₯³ This book will be selling at a discounted price to celebrate its anniversary. Do well to grab yours!!
