Catching ideas, taking lines, colors, blossoms apart and reassembling them, do you ever forget about the time while practicing? Something about arranging pigments softens worries and clears thinking, let me always return to this flow ~

🌸 New murals completed for the opening of Ensō Apartments in April 🌸
Featured in the collaborative office space available to residents working from home, the artwork was inspired by the calm steadiness of Ensō and the Pacific Northwest. We drew inspiration from simple, grounding moments that define Washington, nature, stillness, and balance, bringing those elements into the imagery.
Clouds pair with the lighting, which suggests pacific raindrops. The ever-changing moon marks the passage of time and evokes the idea of Ensō. Its light perhaps illuminates a sense of flow, focus, and concentration ideal for the workspace. It is Spring, marked by cherry blossoms in bloom, and petals drifting below…that is, to the lobby mural on the first floor.
Special thank you to @ensolynnwood and @urbanartworks for commissioning and supporting this project 🌸

🌸 New murals completed for the opening of Ensō Apartments in Lynnwood, WA 🌸
Ensō is a Japanese zen artistic discipline of painting the moon with one continuous brushstroke, meant to serve as a mirror of the mind, reflecting one’s inner self and spiritual balance at the moment of creation.
It’s Spring, Mount Rainier is out on a clear day and petals drift lightly from above…that is, from the second floor mural in the collaborative office space (stay tuned for the future post)
If you’re looking for a new home, please feel free to contact the wonderful team at Ensō to schedule a tour.
Special thank you to @ensolynnwood and @urbanartworks for commissioning and supporting this project 🌸

In Feng Shui, the direction of the white tiger is West, where the sun sets and day turns to night. Here, the tiger can detect any inconsistencies in energy and offer balance and fortitude.
