I have a new book coming out June 2, 2026! You can pre-order it now wherever you love to buy books.
It’s a weird time, to say the very least, to be putting out a book about curiosity and wonder and freedom and fun and humor and imperfection and magic. But it’s also a time when, I think, we could desperately use those things in our lives.
Watching my kids draw and make music and come alive to the world unlocked something in me that I’ve been trying to get into book form for over 10 years. I really can’t wait to share it with y’all. If you liked any of my other books, you will love this one.
#dontcallitart
An introduction to my trilogy of books. (One of my overseas publishers requested I make this for new readers, so I figured why not post it here?) #showyourwork
I can’t stop making zines! (Also experimenting with making them readable on the phone. Let me know if you dig this one!) You can download two new zines in today’s newsletter for free. This is the first one. Link in bio: @austinkleon

Hello yes it’s me, a professional writer who’s been publishing for 16 years and done a bazillion podcasts and yet was so nervous about talking about my new book with someone other than the people who worked on it that I made a map of the book and taped it to my window. (Of course, the first interviews were a delight with lovely people who had thoughtful questions and I didn’t look at my stupid scribble maps once.)
A sampling of the first two years of typewriter interviews I run in my newsletter:

Incredible roster and I have dozens of them in the mail with other mind-blowing artists. Love doing them!
