Summer joys found in the archives 💦 @damian_chrobak has been working intensively in our space digitizing A. Korsakovas’ archive. This is one of ~2000 images from a collection of photographic negatives and original darkroom prints found in Kaunas. Most of the shots were taken during 1950-1970 and have not been published before. Bring us your archives 🎞 Photo collections, entire albums, “single but precious”photographs and other analogue materials all find a place in our studio. Photographic prints and negatives often become fragile and fade as they age. We can treat them with care by scanning, retouching and restoring the original colours and tones, repairing the damage that is sometimes caused by accident - or by poor storage conditions. If you are looking to scan and organise your images, we can offer you solutions that will keep your archives up to date while maintaining the finest quality. ‼️IMPORTANT‼️ Please share this information wide and join the warning strike on 5th October in Lithuania and abroad. The representatives and members of Lithuania’s cultural community – artists, curators, writers, designers, architects, musicians, dancers, film and theater directors, actors, critics, museum workers, librarians, researchers, producers, leaders of NGOs and festivals, cultural workers and citizens – express our deepest concern regarding the recent “switcharoo” – the Government’s decision to trade the Ministry of Culture as a pawn in their negotiations with the Nemuno Aušra political party. This party, known for its populist and pro-Russian rhetoric, paid little to no attention to culture in their political program. Moreover, it has shown to have neither the required competencies to govern this extremely important part of the country’s life, nor a commitment to protect culture and its autonomy. This is not the first time we have come together for a shared goal. But this may be the last time that… culture is the common language we all share; culture inspires us, nurtures us, and gives us courage; culture unites us in maturity, responsibility, and strength; we freely invite culture into our theatres, libraries, museums, cinemas, and concert halls; culture is everywhere: in our cities, towns, villages, and courtyards; culture gives meaning to our future; culture belongs to everyone and each of us – not just “them.” This may be the last time that… we are united; we believe in community; we take to the streets and squares; we stand up against contempt, chaos, and lies; we speak out loudly for freedom and democracy; we are free to name Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis and hear The Sea; we declare a firm “no” to nemuno aušra at the Ministry of Culture. THIS MAY BE THE LAST TIME we strike for Lithuania. THIS MAY BE THE LAST TIME we create and gather freely.

Earlier this year, we had a pleasure producing prints for an exhibition “Silver Girls: Retouched History of Baltic Photography” at the @nacionalinedailesgalerija Curated by Agnė Narušytė, Indrek Grigor and Šelda Pukite.

Behind the scenes from the printing of Mark Neville upcoming photobook “Diary of a Volunteer” at @kopaprinting Mark’s work and initiative is incredibly inspiring to say the least. It’s a real honour to work closely with this project and prepare all images for printing. After a while, this body of work is finally coming together. Cannot wait to see the book finalised and living its’ life. Not only it is a sensitive and complex exploration of life in Ukraine, but also a call for action for those who really need help right now 🇺🇦 Slava Ukraini! 💙💛
