“Blazy Su-e Storm”
I’m going to be very vulnerable for a moment. Attending
@ottawa_comiccon in cosplay healed my inner child. The Invisible Woman has been a character that I’ve resonated with since I saw Fantastic Four in 2005. I started collecting comics around 2017 when I purchased my first one at Universal Studios - It was a Daredevil issue. My love for Marvel comics only grew from there. I have a lot of favourite characters, but Sue Storm/Invisible Woman is one character that resonates with me the most. Her characteristics: intellect, warm, responsible, a leader, possessing emotional intelligence, wisdom, being a balancing force in a team and her deep love for her family inspire me so much.
The moment I decided I wanted to attend Ottawa Comic Con, I didn’t have to think about who I wanted to be. I just knew that if I was going, then I was going full out. I met so many cool and nice people yesterday. Most of the day was spent talking to fellow pop culture enthusiasts and taking pictures with people. I got some solid Marvel comic recommendations from a lovely man named Norm from Nepean. I got to visit my favorite comic book store’s booth,
@nefariouscomics . I attended the Cosplay Meet Up: Marvel (I’ll make a separate post). And I got to see The Comic Strip Show at the end!!! I am over the moon right now.
Thank you for the pictures at Nefarious Comic’s booth
@coraele.insta You are so awesome!!!
He’s not on Instagram, but MAJOR shout out to NGKang Design for whipping up this custom fit Invisible Woman cosplay in 10 days. He did this as a big favour and I’ll always be grateful that he did this despite his usual processing time 💓💓💓 Also, thank you to the Fantastic staff at Ottawa Comic Con for being so cool and kind. Especially the staff at the Photo Booth, you rock!!!
