Two years ago, just immediate family and friends knew about my battle with cancer and how I beat it. Well earlier this year it came back but in a different form. I had many test and an operation to get to this point where I needed stronger chemo therapy causing me to loose my hair. Our good friends that became family to us The Lab with Valerie, Carrie, and Sofie volunteered to shave my head. Sofie is a world renown barber that donated her time to make sure I would look my best being bald. First, I wanted Ed, Sienna, Ridge, and Audrey to shave parts of my head first as a beautiful testament that I wasn’t alone in this fight. However, our second oldest Jeiley couldn’t be there with us as she was traveling for work, but we had her on FaceTime earlier so she could witness the special moment. Thank you Sofie for making sure I had a clean cut and for gifting me with the tools and products to make sure my head looks clean cut while I go through chemo treatments. I’m forever feeling blessed with such loving family and friends who are standing with me giving me lots of love and support and most definitely prayers throughout this journey. Thank you to my co-workers for allowing me to work remote on certain days while I experience side effects that keep me from driving to work. To family and friends who constantly text and check in on me, who have bought dinner for us so that it is one less thing to worry about after treatments. All of this doesn’t go unnoticed and we pray God’s blessing upon each of you, your finances, and your relationships. We love you all. Now with my new look, you can call me GI Jean🪖#fighting

Senior Prom ready. The theme is a “Night in Paradise!” Our son is bringing a taste of Hawaii to his Prom. Thank you to my sister @brendynvicky for sending the lei. Ridge will be playing the ukulele in the beginning as his classmates start to arrive. I’m not ready for this because it means that he will be graduating soon😭😭

Happy 75th Birthday to a loving, beautiful, strong, funny, caring, and compassionate woman of God who I am blessed to call my mom. Mom thank you for being you and for raising us to trust and have faith in God, and to love Him with all our heart. Your daily prayer text messages and reminders to all of us especially to your grandkids speaks volumes of your heart for God and your family. Thank you for being the blueprint of how we should live life - pray, forgive, and love. Love you mom and we will celebrate together when we see you in person soon.

Happiest of Birthday to my lovable, squeezable, charming, sweetest, funny, caring, and talented hubby. Babe, I’m so happy I get to spend my life with you growing old together. Thank you for all you do, especially when I’m craving your awesome breakfast omelettes every weekend. Although it’s your bday today, I’m still expecting my omelette tomorrow 😂😅😋I love you and I thank God for you ❤️ Together Forever!!

Wow, today we gained another adult in our household. Happiest of birthday to our son Edward Ridge Tanuvasa Lalau. You turned 18 years old today but you will always be my baby boy. Thank you for being such a loving and caring son, and an awesome brother to your sisters. The fact that you didn’t want to celebrate your special day today because your older sister wasn’t able to make it so you wanted to wait until she was available. This shows how important family and our bday traditions mean to you. Continue to be the man that God has called you to be. We love you.

God is So Good! So proud of our baby girl @sienna.lalau buying her first car today…a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. She’s worked so hard over the years that she truly deserved and earned this moment. Love how we were there to see her go through the car buying process from test driving different cars to putting her money down and then signing her life away lol. But seriously this moment brings us so much joy because we get to witness her transformation and transition into this part of adulthood. God’s timing is always on time! Good job sweetie on picking your new car, now we get to ask you for rides lol. Enjoy this moment and pat yourself on the back because you did this!! Love you and you got this💪🏻❤️

3 of 3 posts…Happy National Daughter’s Day to our oldest and first born @sienna.lalau ❤️ Sienna, we love how you have a work ethic like no other, constantly grinding and working hard towards your goals. You always find ways to elevate yourself and raise the bar in your craft! To see you dance is one thing but to see you put your work on others is just as amazing and at times mind blowing especially when faced with adversity. Seeing you work with the following people recently, reassures us that you right where you are supposed to be, doing what your supposed to be doing: You created Choreo and movement for @jlo Cambia El Paso music video that you got to fly to Miami on her private jet and on the day of filming they asked if you could do a cameo role in the video😱 Then being invited to be part of Parris vision for @badgalriri @savagexfenty show was an honor as you got to learn and dance with some of the industry’s top movers. Thank you Parris for having her🙏🏻 Right after that, you were whisked away to New York to work with @ozuna on his @vmas performance. Your first time ever choreographing for an artist at the VMAs🤯. You literally had three days to cast NY dancers and put together a set based on the theme. In the end you found a great group of guys who killed it on stage dancing in bear costumes😍 And then right after that you flew back to LA to work with @jlo again but this time for her @glblctzn performance in NY. You had to decide on whether you wanted to dance AND choreograph, but you chose to focus on the choreo and staging for this performance. So glad that you did because you got to be part of the overall creative process where you learned, absorbed, and witnessed what it takes to put on a performance from JLo and her team. Oh and it didn’t hurt that you got to meet, talk, and chill with LL Cool J 😱 Nonetheless, we are so proud of you sweetie! Just being 20 years old and seeing what you’ve already accomplished, gets us so excited for your future and what lies ahead because we know there is more for you to give and to create. Just continue to put your trust and faith in God and He will give you the desires of your heart. We love you❤️

2 of 3 posts…Happy National Daughter’s Day to our second oldest @jeiley.lalau ❤️ Jeiley, we love how you took the initiative to learn all about the different types of makeup, how to apply it, and even how to style hair that you have become the go to person for your sisters, cousins, aunties, grandma, and even your mom. Your love for makeup and hair as well as how to style yourself amazes us that we are always in awe on the way you put yourself together when we have to go places. You have such a cool way of presenting yourself that your swag, style, and beauty brings about a confidence that we see in you. We are so proud of our daughter Jeiley who before and even during Covid, got to flex her makeup and hairstyling skills with projects she did with our dance studio @inthelab247 💪🏻 my favorite is when she gets to be her sister Sienna’s personal MUA and hairstylist…one less thing for Sienna to worry about lol. Of course Jeiley can dance too but she is also talented in these areas as well which makes us so proud and blessed to be her parents. Seeing how Jeiley wants to take this passion of hers to another level makes us excited for her future and what’s to come. Sweetie you got this, you are talented and an artist in your own special way so don’t you ever forget it. We are all here cheering you on! God’s got you and we got you for life! We love you❤️

1 of 3 Posts…Happy National Daughter’s Day to our baby girl, the youngest in our Lalau clan @audryl3 ❤️ Audrey, the fact that you learned how to draw all on your own at such a young age that you decided to take it seriously still blows our mind till this day. My favorite picture is the one you drew of me and Sienna when we were away. It’s my favorite because it was the first time you drew a picture of me. You continue to amaze us everyday as you practice and perfect your love for art at your new school. We are so blessed to have you as our daughter. Thank you for bringing so much joy into our lives. God knew we needed three girls to complete our family. We are so proud of our daughter Audrey who had to transfer to a new school her sophomore year and although it was a little scary cause she would have to make new friends again, she knew that this new school would help elevate her drive and passion for art. It took some time to adjust to the new school that now she enjoys it. Love how she is always excited to share with us her day at school and let me tell you it’s always an adventure 😅😆 Keep it up sweetie, we see big things in store for you as you continue to work hard, follow your dreams, and never forget that with God anything is possible. We love you ❤️😘

What an awesome time our family had in Vegas and Arizona where we got to spend time with both sides of our extended family. This family trip was needed and seeing everyone was priceless. From Ridge attending my brother’s @polynesianbowl combine football camp, to seeing our girls learn a Samoan Siva (dance) taught by their cousin @kayla.gaoteote (which they later perform at their cousin Maa’s graduation party), to then going to AZ to see Ed’s niece @jeydin.nn graduate from High School and celebrating at her grad party, to then going back to Vegas to see my nephew @maagaoteote.cv graduate from High School and celebrating at his grad party as well. Whew lots of driving but it was all worth it as these photos show all the love and support we had for and from our family. Thank you to my sister Val and hubby Ie for hosting us in Vegas and to Ed’s niece @mauipartyof7 for having us.
