Celebrated as one of the most outstanding representatives of the French cello school today, Aurélien Pascal is no stranger to the Hong Kong audience. Since his début in 2015, he has enjoyed many acclaimed collaborations with Hong Kong Sinfonietta including a tour to Portugal. He also appeared in the orchestra’s concert films “Back On Stage III: DESTINY”, “Vive la Musique!” and “All-Star Tiny Galaxy
@Wontonmeen ” released in 2021, as well as in the online concert series “Tiny Galaxy Concerts
@Wontonmeen ”. His last performance with us in 2024 during the French May Arts Festival brought down the house, cementing his status as one of the must-watch cellists whenever in town.
This week, Aurélien will return and perform Saint-Saëns’ two cello concertos under the baton of Music Director Christoph Poppen (16 May), as well as present a one-of-a-kind recital at the Tang Contemporary Art gallery as part of the brand new “Out of the Blue” series (14 May).
