Thank you, Milan 🇮🇹 Performing is like intensifying the sensation of life, producing a cognition that tears through the veil of language. In the final acts of Réquiem, I wanted to convey these feelings through a choreography that didn’t need to defend itself from anything, an absolute phenomenon where the empathy of things creates images that produce another type of violence — life is a complex aphorism but the result of this communion between everything that exists, far from what distanced me from desiring to be human. To cross the streets of Milan yearning for the red bath, the same one I saw in the dead fish and became a tear that flowed inside me, today the cry is like that of a Cathedral that absorbs the rains as part of its body and pours it back into the world. In every sign, there’s a lapse of life — marked by the prayer of my hands that drown in the absurd desire to communicate.
