Happy birthday to two very special people! First off, my old man. My father. My dad.
It’s funny how our friendship continues to grow and change even 10 years after you’ve left this life. I still get angry, I still laugh, and still I learn to forgive things I did not understand. I still talk to you, I still ask you for advice, I still want to show you the life I have made for myself. I still think about you every day and will continue to do so until I too leave this strange and beautiful life.
The other special bday, my little nephew John. John would have been my dad’s first grandchild. John, you’ve got some big shoes to fill, and you’re already proving to be one of the coolest kiddos around. Your Uncle GoGo loves you.
Today I am celebrating a life well lived and a life that is just starting to grow.
Here it is! Our new short film, Dinner Party, is free to watch on YouTube!

A little late for Father’s Day on this but I wanted to share some of my favorite clips from a trip we took last year. My dad passed in October almost 10 years ago. Since then we have tried to do something special during that month to celebrate his life.
Made a little riff and had a look at some old videos from back home up in Washington. I’ve been writing a project that takes place around the state. It may be a few years off, but returning home to work on something very personal in the place I know best is on my must do list for this life.
Took a little day trip out to Lone Pine. It is surreal being by yourself in a place like this after being caught up in day to day city routine. Maybe even a little unsettling. Reminds me of the eagle cap wilderness near my hometown.
I set myself the goal to work upload a video project every two weeks. Here’s number two of the year! I played around with this one and just let my imagination drift. I chose images that made me feel a certain way without having to explain them or make any sort of set narrative. Link is in my bio!
