I want the digital and analog worlds to intertwine in my photography. I use old digital cameras, manual lenses, and techniques that reveal the touch of the hand.
I have an affection for old devices that most people have abandoned in favor of “better” modern technology. I see their flaws more as personalities. Perfection doesn’t interest me.
I'm just a would've been, could've been
Should've been, never was and never ever will be
Well sharpen your teeth
Tell yourself that it's just business
Would've been, could've been
Should've been, never was, and never ever will be
Worms come out of the woodwork
And the snakes start to sing
They say imitation is the highest form of flattery.
I see it as the highest form of disrespect, especially when the inspirational source is not credited. Even I am not allowed to repeat myself, so why should you.
But don't mind me, I will never make it big anyway 💁

When you're allegedly so dark and moody that you turn an originally intended trashy photoshoot into a metaphysical haunted hotel ghost story ✨ the fact that I'm so white my skin literally reflects flashlights back to the sender (I may or may not being referring to God, too) doesn't help, either 💁
The world is in such a horrible state that I'm finding it extremely hard to share thoughts and images (especially of myself) without feeling incredibly useless and, basically, a narcissistic c*nt, on the other hand hardships are supposed to be creativity's biggest fuel and what better way of reflecting on outside tragedies than turning inward, to our inner despair? Is what I'm saying even making sense? Hell no, but that's the whole point.
To quote Oscar Wilde, "all art is quite useless", especially when it's not art at all, may I add 🫣

A thermal printer is absolutely needed at this point, like it's needed that @attekellman and I shoot more frequently together ✨
I've always been an observer, an over-thinker and a procrastinator. I see people queuing outside a place, ANY PLACE, and my first thought is not "oh man, that must be really good". My first thought is "don't they have anything to do in their life?", the second is "why", then I start speculating about their every day routine and what kind of job they have and, in the end, the focus shifts from the personal to the general to the collectivity. As much as I'd like to think we're all individuals with our uniqueness and peculiarities and we're like snowflakes, all different and equally beautiful, the more I observe, the more I spot patterns and recurring elements and no, the place is never so good that people line outside because they need to experience its excellence. People line outside because they see others doing the same and they want to experience and be part of a collective phenomenon.
I just wanted to share this thought without sounding patronizing, but I think I miserably failed 😊
