__________
As March comes to an end, I’ve been reflecting on the months to come - with the world’s constant chaos and the trials and tribulations of day to day life, how do you protect your peace? For me it’s in the work, it’s in the process of pouring myself into something that will some day be bigger than just me. It’s about the art, the expression of self, connection with other like minded people, and always recentering the focus back to love, kindness, and growth. I am so excited for what this year still has in store, and I cannot wait to share it with you all along the way.

Nov. 16, 2025 - Beauty & Decay - Floral Workshop
-
The final arrangements were stunning, plus hearing people talk about their work is always the most special part. But before they go, each arrangement got the special treatment with it’s own still life Photo Booth moment as my gift. The last slide shows all the participants' arrangements together. What a wonderful day!
Thank you to everyone who supported, participated, and cheered this workshop on - Especially thank you to Tawhida at @anar.studios as she’s the magic that inspired this entire thing! 🤍

THE SPECIMEN by Atarah Atkinson, 2025
“How do you measure the weight of abandonment and the
invisible burden of absence? This piece is a meditation
on family trauma, and the strength in the darkness that
comes from our past - leaving us with realities and
complexities in our psychosis that will forever be on
display.”

Introducing Frankie Alduino — a photographer based in Brooklyn, whose work I've deeply admired and who I'm thrilled to bring into the gallery this December for our first artist talk!
What draws me to Frankie's practice is his commitment to maintaining personal work alongside a demanding commercial career. His editorial portraits regularly appear in New York Magazine and Vanity Fair, but it's his ongoing personal projects—rooted in documentary photography, memory, and place—that reveal the depth of his artistic vision. There's a poetic quality to how he moves through the world, influenced by literature and mysticism, always seeking meaning in the liminal spaces between the ordinary and profound.
After training at The Richard Avedon Foundation and working in-house at Annie Leibovitz Studio, Frankie brings both technical excellence and hard-won wisdom about what it actually takes to sustain a creative practice in a professional photography career.
This December, Gallery ATARAH presents a curated conversation with Frankie—exploring the balance between client work and personal projects, the development of daily creative practice, and the shift from photographer to artist. This isn't a lecture; it's an honest dialogue about staying present, setting boundaries, and protecting the work that feeds you.
Whether you're a photographer, visual artist, or anyone navigating creative passion alongside professional demands, this conversation will offer both practical insight and permission to approach your work with more clarity.
Stay tuned — more details coming soon!
