This August I got the incredible chance to work on a refreshing (and kind of a dream) project that centered celebrating young South Asian brands and entrepreneurs—a space for talented creatives across industries to gather and uplift one another. The floral theme I was given: ‘imperial gardens of India reimagined.’ My research and mood boarding had me completely fixated on the intricate courtyards of havelis (preserved pre colonial palaces) and the ornate, manicured gardens found throughout South Asia’s architectural personality. Florals are often the fabric of our cultural motifs—they anchor so much of our taste & flare in decor, fashion, art, and traditions so this design felt synergetic, fun & natural. Blending old world heritage and contemporary ny culture against the backdrop of the @georgiaroomnyc felt so me. I can’t thank the team at @bindaas.branding enough for giving me the creative freedom & trust to create this lush install. Majority of the floral product used were locally sourced and its skeleton completely sustainable & foam-free 🪷 Much appreciation for my lovely design team @theflower.guy @princess.mai.blooms @dancingmonkey_ny 💕
