Project #01-26: CBD 2399 by AT1 Modular & Musikarbeiter. Before you ask: no, you can never have enough delays. This one is rather special as it can be pushed beyond the operating limits of the PT2399 IC, resulting in sonic mayhem. There’s a dual AS2164 resonant VCF with low-pass and high-pass modes. There are a few more tricks that take your audio signal to the ball and make it dance to triggers and gates. With lots of cv-inputs this will definitely become a favourite to many modular synthesists. The build was pretty straightforward as all the smd-components were already soldered on the second board. The control board needed a few resistors, a diode and a couple of LEDs. The switches, pots and jacks are snapped into place. That makes this kit suitable for beginners. One little nag: they should have included a shrouded power header instead of two 5-pin single row headers.
