Their live performances are⚡️ and skilfully weave between electronic and live elements. This @margeaux_s - best friend, business partner & co-owner of @yummproductionsnz - deeply connected through our shared enjoyment in holding spaces for people to gather and connect. Running events is a delight and a challenge and each new event brings its own lessons and enjoyment. Our upcoming gig with @stavroz_official is the first event we have done with such an internationally well-known band and we said yes to it knowing it would be a biggger risk to take on (risk it for the biscuit?). But I just couldn’t quite pass on the idea as Stavroz are one of those bands I have listened to again & again & again, thanks to such delightful songs like The Finishing. And because we know that this 4-person Belgium band, that sells out shows internationally, plays one heck of an epic live performance 🔥 🎷 Hosting a big, well-known band means levelling up, pulling up our boot straps, and diving into more of the bigger event world, such as marketing & production (thanks for the hot tips @almoislandlife ) Yes, we chose this - luckily for me Margeaux also up for a challenge - but it isn’t always an easy ride, and we are not sure if we are hitting all the marks. Maybe we aren’t - maybe some are flying left, some flying right, and maybe the occasional one is mis-firing and heading behind us. But luckily Margeaux and I get to share the weight of challenges that turn up with such an undertaking, pat each others back, and continue forward. One of the many reasons why I love doing business with her. We are also trying out a new venue for the first time - The @assemblychch - and we got very excited after revisiting it last week. We saw how we can change things to suit our flavour, how to decor and get a nice flow of movement, lounge and dance floor area in the space, and how the space doesn’t event smell like beer as it’s a venue and not a bar… All of this is to say that Yumm Production is hosting a very talented international band this coming Friday and we think you might like it - come join us! Set times are locked for next Friday at The @assemblychch 🔥 @stavroz_official bring their signature live, dynamic performance to Ōtautahi for the very first time - this is something rather special. Holding it down on either side, @smn_kng and @bytesize_sounds step in for a seriously tasty DJ sandwich 💥 This will be @yummproductionsnz first foray into The Assembly (previously known as Winnie Bagoes), bringing our signature touch of decor and curation. Expect a space built for warmth, connection, and an excellent dance floor vibe…
