Incredible display of musicianship.
Some clips on this post feature @asp222 soloing on two different songs … in one case it’s very majestic and controlled … in another case it’s full avant, yet still very much under control.
The band was so incredibly TIGHT … playing incredibly complex pieces live with all musicians on fire and playing off each other.
They just completed a short tour and will be heading out on the road again soon all in support of their latest @impulserecords release “Deface The Currency.”

@themessthetics came to @startheaterpdx last night and killed it! It was their first stop on their US tour. Growing up as a huge Fugazi fan, seeing @brendancanty drumming with @joelally898 on bass was a super special treat. The group also turned me on to @asp222 on guitar and jamesbrandonlewis on the tenor sax. Good luck on the rest of the tour!
