when the mirror you grow up seeing is distorted,
you learn to live through echoes.
you forget the taste of your own reflection,
the sound of your name when itโs spoken with love.
worth is a wild thing.
you either carve it with trembling hands
or let the world carve you hollow.
i am not the daughter of mirrors that told me i was enough.
no soft hands showed me how to glow.
and no
i donโt need pity.
just breath.
space.
a gentler sky to open beneath my ribs.
i want to see in myself
what i have always ached to see
that my worth is unshaken,
that the earth beneath me will not crumble,
that every step i take is blessed.
my existence
a pulse,
a prayer,
a ripple of purpose moving through time.
and maybe thatโs what healing really is:
learning to build a mirror
from the pieces of your own light.
