Iām finally making a dedicated circus account- please click follow if you want to continue seeing my circus endeavours. For any new faces, hereās a little about me.
Iām a Welsh aerialist based in Cardiff (the capital city of Wales š“ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó æ ). I started aerial at 26 (11 years ago!). Rope has been my obsession for the last 7 years, and Iāve been teaching aerial for 6 years.
Outside of circus, I have a PhD in integrative neuroscience and work in academic research. Iām currently researching how nutrition impacts brain development and mental health. I very much bring my science brain into circus. I love understanding movement pathways, biomechanics, and how bodies work, but also the pedagogy of circus and how I can best support students to reach their goals. I really love teaching, especially working 1:1.
So⦠why the handle floaerial? Itās not just another nod to flow states or flowy aesthetics (though I do love those too). Flo was my nickname at school and still is to a handful of old friends. Laura became Flora, which became Flo. It always felt more like me, and for a long time I said Iād change my name when I was old enough. When the time came, conventions (mostly relating to my career path) sadly got in the way.
I still connect with my identity as Flo⦠it feels like my more creative side, and the part of me that my aerial work really channels. As Iām sure so many can relate to, circus and movement is where I feel really alive āØ

An ode to hip key roll ups. Rolling to back balance in particular has taken sooooo long (years) but itās finally feeling solid and very satisfying. I would love to send a note to past Laura to tell her that all the c-shaping conditioning drills you hate doing WILL pay off. Grateful for all the help and guidance from @alexjamesallan@pj.perryalist@awyrol š§”#aerialrope #cordelisse #cshaping #cshapesausagsdawg
Anyone else get those freak days where despite lack of sleep, lots of stress and having no time to eat or warm up properly, training goes really great? In my state of āexhaustion induced optimismā (as @awyrol described this phenomenon!) I tried this spinning meathook to supported side planche from @alexjamesallan and also had an added bonus of discovering that front balance roll up is now a thing I can do. Iāll take that! šš» #aerialrope #cordelisse #aerialropetraining
Sooo like OVER a year ago I said I wanted to stop being such a perfectionist about my rope practice and start to share more of my training. That didnāt happen of course but Iāve also realised Iām pretty lazy about posting anything on the grid and maybe I shouldnāt put that pressure on myself! Anyway lately things have been really fun in rope land and many things have started to click! So hereās some spontaneous recent training. Expect next update in 2026 𤣠#aerialrope #cordelisse #circusnoteverydamnday
We had the BEST day on Saturday! It was a whirlwind of fun happiness and weāre so grateful to have such amazing family and friends who came from all over to celebrate with us. Still buzzing. So lucky we got to do this twice and both days were so so perfect. Thanks to @timea.danci.photographer for these incredible photos! @coedweddings@loxushairandmakeup@hiddenbotanics@catherine__deane
Ok work in progress (as always) but happy these assisted roll ups are now consistent and feeling āeasierā. The second half gets me though 𤢠been working on some great drills with @awyrol recently that have really helped with this plus @_sassy_bee and I are rolling around on the floor on the regular which seems to help! #aerialrope #cordelisse #roperolling #rollups #cshape #cshaping
Some more photos from our wedding by the amazing @scenicvows š nearly 4 months on the dry cleaner is still trying to get the dirt out of my dress- totally worth it @jaywilliams355 #yosemiteelopement #yosemitenationalpark #glacierpointwedding #hikingelopement #weddingdressandwalkingboots
We eloped!
After 2+ years of planning and more than our fair share of challenges, we finally made it!
We had the most amazing day. The hike up to Glacier point wasnāt easy but so worth it! Feeling very blessed that I got to marry my best friend @jaywilliams355 in this magical place.
We canāt thank Becky and Brian @scenicvows enough for their wonderful company, hiking with us, marrying us and taking these beautiful photos!
