woke up and took a drive through the mountains to look at some fancy things on wheels. saw a giant blue inflatable 911. oogled the new cayenne ev active aero. met up with family. spent time with old car friends. made a few new ones. talked with a handful of creatives covering the event. took a few compliments on the green leica. ended with a sunset dragon run. was selective with my frames. less felt nice. helluva sunday.

Met Festa years ago when they were working the rental counter at Capture Integration in Atlanta. I was running the photo studio at a marketing agency, and they were the person who made sure I had what I needed to shoot.
Back in 2013 — mid-campaign shoot, studio full of clients and models, and my Phase One IQ back completely loses its mind. Tethering issues, battery drama, the whole thing (iykyk). I was running lean so no digi on set, and absolutely zero idea what to do.
I called Festa in a panic. They talked me through a quick fix, then literally got up from their desk and drove to my set with a replacement back and batteries. Shoot saved. That's when I knew we'd be friends for the long haul.
They're now at Camera West in SoHo — responsible for nearly every significant camera purchase I've made since going independent, and apparently still just as dangerous to my wallet. Every time we talk, something comes home with me. This time was no exception. I popped by the shop to chat and they showed off their latest pickup, a stunning M4-P paired with a 50 rigid. I'm sure the negatives that come back will be something great.

Good people are hard to come by and Sabrina just happens to be one of them. A good hang, has a sweet pup, never afraid to bridge a connection with an intro and almost always willing to jump in as talent when needed. According to Olive, she's throws a mean game of studio fetch. Can't ask for much else in a friend.
She's come through the studio a few times so it felt overdue to post these up. Hence the wadrobe break.
