Now more than ever, we can be reminded of the importance of goodness and acceptance. Of kindness and class. To value and listen to the needs of every American and every human - not just a few.
A leader who knew in the darkest of times, the arts are more essential than ever. It is what binds us together as humankind, no matter our separate fears. It doesn’t care who you are, where you are from or what you look like. It will forever be a dignified beacon of the truth.
I hope the world gets kinder, and I hope to see the beacon shine a little brighter again soon. But for now - I’m counting myself lucky to contribute.

When I first watched Angel dance the role of Ali in Le Corsaire it lit such a fire in me to dance. I wore out that dvd shortly after… The masculine energy, passion and commitment of his performance transformed my idea of what excellence looked like. Now almost 15 years later I got a chance to tackle the role of Ali myself, and it was a blast. Dancing this ballet, being coached by Angel, wearing that costume was so surreal- a rare opportunity I grabbed and held onto tight. Life has few full circle moments, so it’s important to acknowledge their significance. This was a big one of mine! Thank you for the opportunity @angelcorellaofficial ⭐️
