To launch this years NWSL kits we highlighted the best players in the league. The concept payed tribute to how we learned about our first female sports idols, through posters torn out of soccer magazines.

Very proud to announce my debut solo photography show, LOOK UP ITS BRIGHT! This show was created to narrate a philosophy I formed 6 years ago. It is a byproduct of my lifelong fixation on existentialism, the pressure chamber that is professional women’s sports, 5 years in New York, and so much more.

The series is comprised of 14 large scale double exposure film photographs featuring professional dancer, Christine Shepard. Each photo is a black and white Archival Pigment Print on Hahnemuhle William Turner watercolor paper.
The show focuses on the role of purpose in our lives and our dependence on the identities that form because of it. Each photo challenges the viewer to ground in the feelings their purpose allows them to experience and shift away from seeking another self fulfilling prophecy. The series leverages double exposure and movement as a way to display the conversation we must have with ourselves, exposing the dissonance that arises as we become someone completely new. The title serves as a reminder; we must choose to revel in every shade of our experience, because the end goal is an illusion.
Opening reception will take place Oct 5th from 6 - 9 featuring dance performances at 6:30 & 8 pm by the lovely @chrisnshep & @sweet_n_moe , my forever muses. They will perform improv pieces guided by the emotional cadence of the series, helping to relay the ever changing but symbiotic relationship between movement and emotion. The show will then be open until the 13th by appointment only!
