Pelagic Thresher sharks are unlike any other shark, and I am transfixed with them. To find them, divers often commit to deep dives on short timelines. Yesterday as I was hovering by the reef, from the blue out came the silhouette of my dreams with its tail spiralling towards me. The rush was unreal as it came to within a meter of me trying to interact. Getting to experience these creatures in the water and seeing them eye to eye gives a sense of appreciation, awe, and fragility of our ocean. Definitely an encounter I'll remember forever! 💙🦈
