I’ve been so quiet on here, but I’ve not been relaxing (much anyway… it was Easter after all!). . Alongside @ashfield_creates I’ve been holding mural sessions at two local youth clubs. Yesterday was the final session. . In the first, we sat around and discussed, researched and drew what they would like to see in their space. I took loads of my library and images with me, but they went wild with their own ideas! I love that the two centres had totally different ideas! I then took the folder of their ideas and turned them into two large cohesive designs. . The second session saw them prepping the space. Measuring out the scale, taping edges and priming. . The final session we pounced, sketched and painted. I say we, I took a back seat, directed and advised but didn’t do much painting at all… I wanted them to take ownership of their space and ideas. Boy did they!!! . This is what we were finished with! I’ll be heading back next week to put finishing details on and clean up rouge drips ✨
