Smuin’s Artistic Director Amy Seiwert created “A Long Night” for @balletx in 2023, and it is loosely inspired by Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” The work is now making its West Cost premiere as part of Smuin’s fall program, Extremely Close. In this video, Amy shares some insights into her creation process for the ballet.
