Premiering in the 2025 edition of Smuin’s The Christmas Ballet is Ma Navu, choreographed by Artistic Director Amy Seiwert, performed to Kitka Women’s Vocal Ensemble’s recording of the Israeli folk song meaning “how beautiful” in Hebrew.

Smuin’s Artistic Director Amy Seiwert created “A Long Night” for @balletx in 2023, and it is loosely inspired by Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” The work is now making its West Cost premiere as part of Smuin’s fall program, Extremely Close. In this video, Amy shares some insights into her creation process for the ballet.
