Another year, another project, this one was specifically fun as it was out of our usual comfort zone. From pre production to production to post production, it was a challenge which we accepted and killed it Creative Agency: @sugarst.co & @maadcity_ Client: @truediamond.official Creative direction: @sugarst.co @aseemkumar4 Photography: @aseemkumar4 Videography: Yours Only Styling: @sukriti_swaraj HMU: @facesofbeautybyvarsha BTS : @nightwalker_writes ✂️🎬 : @chaos.with.kunal Location: @studio6.blr

Fishing harbour Part 3 (last) - Second image has to be my favourite ‘The BOATS’ These were taken when @cheezbacon took me for a swim at one of the beaches of Mangalore, and we saw these Fishermen taking the boat out of the ocean after catching fish. I saw varun helping them take out the boat & understood that The hardship in catching the fish is not only the catching part, but also, in The BOATS! Images taken for ‘A Culinary Jaunt- Karnataka’, a book that takes you through the journey of The Cuisine(s) of Karnataka. The chapter ‘Fishing Harbours’ talks about how you get the fish on your plate. What goes around in those few early morning hours of sale at Bunder & Malpe- The 2 fishing harbours in Karnataka.

Harbour documentary PART 2 ‘The hardwork’ Post the fish has reached the harbour, these ladies do a lot of hard work in taking them from Point B to point B. The colour of baskets on their head is coordinated to the destination. Some fish are going the exporting houses vehicles, some to be sold locally. Harbour documentary PART 1 ‘The sale’ Some of the seafood I saw at these harbours were beyond my imagination, the freshness of fish, the variety, the size of the prawns blew my mind. Sadly, a lot of this fish doesn’t reach us but is exported outside the Country. Better margins? Maybe. But the hustle at 4:30 am in the morning at these harbours are a worth watching scene.
